Argle Bargle: The Game Where You Insult Your Friends, now live on Kickstarter.

Austin, TX - January 18th, 2017 -- Argle Bargle is the riotously funny and clever new party game where players take turns crafting ridiculous insults to humiliate and defeat their friends. Like any great party game, Argle Bargle is easy to learn and quick to play, but it also requires creativity and strategy to win.

“Your nasty, lopsided beard smells like a wet hippie in a truckstop bathroom” - Argle Bargle insult

Argle Bargle follows in the footsteps of comically perverse blockbuster card games like Cards Against Humanity, Exploding Kittens, and Joking Hazard. Together these games raised millions of dollars on the popular crowdfunding website Kickstarter, and helped usher in the current golden age of tabletop party games. Argle Bargle contains no actual dirty words making it unique in this genre, and appropriate for family game night. “It’s funny that a game about insults actually brings people together,” said Argle Bargle co-designer, Simon Erich.

Argle Bargle /ärɡəl ˈbärɡəl/ noun - copious but meaningless talk or writing; nonsense.

The object of the game is to use your cards to craft the funniest, highest scoring insult that takes away your opponent’s "lives" - ultimately insulting your friends out of the game. Special cards that can redirect insults add an unexpected twist that keeps players on their toes.

“A giant goat nugget sings love songs to your stinky hat” - Argle Bargle insult

The designers used data analysis techniques from the world of video game development to balance the game, and applied modern web and app design processes to make an engaging user experience. This attention to detail shows in the final product. “We’ve been playtesting for almost 2 years and the overwhelming response has been: When can I buy a copy?” says co-creator, Zeke Brill.

Argle Bargle is the passion project of game designers and lifelong friends Simon Erich and Zeke Brill. Both are successful business owners in Austin, Texas with over 20 years in game design, user experience, software, and branding.
