Legrand Legacy

In a chaotic world that's torn apart by civil war and threatened by an otherworldly invasion, six unlikely heroes have emerged. You play as Finn, the reluctant leader of the pack, who soon discovers that the true peril to their universe lies within themselves.

THE LEGRAND UNIVERSE

The titular Legrand is home to a plethora of fascinating landscapes and cultures. Fandor and Altea kingdoms of the humans are mostly aristocratic. Gorias Kingdom in the Eastern desert is occupied by the Ahrimans, who are a race of bipedal talking intelligent lions. Finnias to the South is the destroyed homeland of the Norns, which no one dares to venture into. Lastly, rumor has it that the township of Aos Si is hidden amidst the enchanting Western forests.

Legrand’s current grim state is caused by the Mugna Feud, an ongoing great war between the kingdoms of Fandor and Altea. As a result, the inhabitants of Legrand grow increasingly contemptuous while poverty soars and criminals reign. In addition, the entire Legrand universe is also prophesied to be at risk of being attacked again by the Fir Bolgs, demonic creatures from another dimension whose main aim is to conquer new territories and expand their supremacy at all costs.

Our story begins as six unlikely heroes, each with his or her own personal agenda, unwittingly find themselves banded together to defend their universe, while trying to bring peace back to the warring kingdoms. Will they succeed? What secrets do they hold? Without revealing too much, all we can say is brace yourselves for a thrilling and unexpected story.

GAMEPLAY

Turn Based Combat with Quick Time Event (aka ACT – Action Circle Tempo) and Interruption
Strategy is key! You may exploit opponents’ weaknesses by taking advantage of attack types, like the Weapon Triangle in the Fire Emblem series (i.e. slash, pierce, impact), as well as element types (i.e. fire, water, earth, etc).

Once the commands have been inputted completely for all present active combatants, you have to watch out for the Quick Time Event dial (aka ACT – Action Circle Tempo, as we call it), and press the correct button at the right time to get attack or defense bonuses. If you missed the ACT, penalties will be incurred.

The unique feature about our combat system is that with every turn, all characters and enemies move simultaneously – some are faster and some are slower, depending on their moves or animation speed. Additionally, interruption may occur when a character or enemy is channeling grimoire or if they get attacked first. Lastly, there is no random encounter.

Deploy Your Troops to Wars
Put your war general hat on. As the game progresses, you will gradually amass troops that can be deployed to wars in various areas of Legrand. Think about the troop types and terrains before placing your troops strategically on the map. Winning wars will increase the character’s fame and in return, you will be rewarded with more troops.

Go On a Journey
Immerse in the rich cultures of Legrand. You are invited to roam through towns for a brief respite in between battles or to trek down the dungeons to fight malicious monsters. Camera panning will follow your characters during exploration, while idling will cause the camera to zoom out so you can enjoy the scenery. Beware where you step though, as spiteful spirits are always lurking around the corner!

Recruit NPCs to Revamp Your Headquarters
You can recruit Non Player Characters (NPCs) to enhance the facilities in your Headquarters. Legendary crafters or smiths are only available in the Headquarters. Fun skill-based mini games will also be offered in the Headquarters and you can play these games repeatedly to beat your own high scores.

Customize Your Menu
You can customize items and grimoire that characters can wield in combat, set combat formation, review journal to track quests, use restorative items to restore lost health, and input points to level up.

Take a Detour for a Little Side Quest
Side quests range from ‘get to know your characters better’ to hardcore challenges if you’re up for some fun. You will receive rewards for completing the side quests, for example a war general or an NPC to tend to your Headquarters.

Crafting & Loot System
Collect loot (materials or junks) from slain enemies and decide whether you want to sell them for money, or use them to upgrade your characters’ equipment and craft necessary items.

MMO-Style Character Leveling System
Players are free to choose however they want to level up.

Grimoire (Magic) Learning System
Linked to the character leveling system, characters will acquire new grimoire abilities by fulfilling the requirements.
