Neverliria: Light Up The Darkness With The Phoenix
August 6, 2018, Kyiv, Ukraine – SmartHart Games has opened press access to recently announced Neverliria, survival sandbox 2d game.
At SmartHart Games we believe that the main value of indie games is their creativity and originality, and we also think our new game is exactly that.
Neverliria is an upcoming 2d sidescroller on PC that combines the mechanics of survival, strategy and sandbox genres. In Neverliria you will play as a fire-headed girl, lost in a fantasy forest full of shadows. One of the goals set by Neverliria’s creators was to develop a survival game, in which common survival resources for the strategy genre (such as wood or stone) could also be magical objects and fantastic creatures.
"The most reliable way to protect yourself from the darkness is the light (of the campfire or your own hand-held phoenix), or ... a perfect arrow of the faithful servant-dwarf", describes the gameplay lead developer Orest Andrus.
Neverliria was designed as an experience that is totally different from something we usually expect from a survival game. For example, it has no inventor (the way people usually see it), the player has to interact with resources manually or by using a special chest system.
